Do You Believe
Description
Perhaps it is purely religious that there are more than a dozen different souls, all moving in different directions, all longing for something that seems to have an effect. Perhaps everyone knows that there is strength in the cross of Christ, even if he has not yet believed it. That story begins when a local shepherd shakes his essence through the apparent faith of the old street preacher, reminding him that true belief always requires hard work to get there. It is a journey full of faith that strongly affects everyone who comes into with ways that seem to follow and are planned by God.

Drama is well-acted but more political than religious.

It's the same old false shuffle dealt from the same old stacked deck.

The cast is a motley mix of the known and unknown, all doing their best to deliver Konzelman and Solomon's awkward sermon, under Jonathan M. Gunn's equally awkward direction.

The cinematic equivalent of a Jehovah's Witness who won't take 'no' for an answer getting his foot stuck in your door.
March 20, 2015
More professionally produced and acted than the indiegelical norm, but only fitfully engaging on a dramatic level and entirely hermetic on a theological one.

March 26, 2015
A deranged melodrama where any sense of soapy, campy fun is undercut by the preachy, self-serious tone.

Subtle as a sledgehammer to the toes and only slightly more entertaining ...

Crash, but Jesus-y. Scoffers and doubters will get their smackdown, but even believers should be skeptical at how this ridiculous roundrobin plays out.

Wherever you fall on the spectrum of spirituality, the only answer to "Do You Believe?" is "No."

A self-aggrandizing sermon that preaches only to the faithful.
