Proudly hit-and-miss -- and worryingly scatological, with most of the comic routines ending in screaming chaos -- but when it hits it is also audaciously brilliant.

Each character, even the ones with only one or two lines, has a specific and clear point of view, which is the only way a four-minute sketch could possibly juggle so many different comedic premises at the same time and manage to land them all.

It is never toothless. It is frequently (and delightfully!) upsetting, in ways that are sometimes difficult to articulate. It is the funniest new show I've seen in a long time.

For its enduring place in our collective consciousness and for THAT in memoriam montage, ITYSL more than earns its place...

Like any good sketch show, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson has some bits that are so memorable, you're going to want to revisit them a couple of times.

"Leave" has plenty of both yelling and jokes, concocting comedy both broad and nuanced, often in the same breath.

The show is a constant exercise in finding the strangest possible set-up and going for it. Who cares if that means the real world is left behind?

Like all sketch series, not every entry is gold, but "I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson" earns bonus points for its self-awareness.
May 13, 2019
His comedy has a maniacal energy that can't be scripted or even explained. Like the best moments of this sketch show, the disruptive performance provides a respite from normalcy and coherence.
May 13, 2019
Taken as a whole, I Think You Should Leave deserves to be held up as one of the finest things that Netflix has ever produced. It is single-handedly going to revive sketch comedy from the wet, wet mud.
November 18, 2019
Often ridiculous and absurd, Robinson has never met a joke he couldn't beat to death, which is part of this entire series' shtick, but he does find new, unexpected and funny ways to murder the jokes, which is all that really matters.

You'll laugh, you'll sigh with boredom and inevitably you'll go "ew" instead of "ha."
